The Wild Cabana Jungle Lodge is located 80 km (50 miles) from Manaus, on the  south bank of the Amazon River, on the Parana do Mamori River system,  upstream from Rio Tucunaré. The lodge has “Standard Ecological Lodging”. The Wild Cabana Lodge consists of a central “open air” land module. There are 3 cabins, all with mosquito screens, six single beds, 2 central toilets and veranda with hammocks. Total maximum capacity is 8 travelers in cabins and 40 in hammocks. There is a reception and bar - with comfortable chairs and hammocks, perfect for relaxing before and after excursions. Restaurant - typical architecture - rustic with a great atmosphere for experimenting delicious local cuisine. Recreation area with a large terrace where you can sunbath, read or relax with nature. Wild Cabana has candle ligth and alternative sources of energy are also being used. No hot water is available (water temperature is usually 26-32 degrees Celsius). The lights for the rooms, as well as the service area, are supplied by candle light and gas lamps.
Excursions made from the lodge, including bilingual guide:

Reconnaissance tour: Departure at 09:00 or 15:00 in motorized canoe to visit the river area and flooded forest. Duration: 3 hours.

Jungle trek: Departure at 09:00 or 15:00 to an appropriate point to enter the jungle. The guide will lead the clients on a trek through the rainforest educating them about the flora and fauna. Duration: 3 hours.

Fishing trip: Departure at 09:00 or 15:00 to try to catch local fish such as  Tucunaré, Tambaqui and Piranha. Afterwards, travelers will learn about the customs and way of life of these native inhabitants, descendants of the Indians. Duration: 3 hours.

Visit to a native dwelling:
Departure at 09:00 or 15:00 to learn about the customs and way of life of these native inhabitants, descendants from the Indians. Duration: 2 hours.

Alligator spotting tour:
Departure at 20:00 in motorized canoe, in search of alligators. They are paralyzed by the light of the flashlight, their eyes shine red, enabling the guide to easily locate them. The guide will then try to catch one with his bare hands and depending on size bringing it aboard the canoe for observation. The alligator is safely returned to the water afterwards. Duration: 2 hours.

Sunrise tour: Departure at 05:30 to admire the sunrise in the Amazon. Return in time for breakfast. Duration: 2 hours. What to take: Long sleeve shirts, a light raincoat, T-shirts, hat, good hiking shoes/boots, socks, pants & shorts, sun  block, sunglasses, flashlight, swimsuit, insect repellent.
Optional: Binoculars, books, camera & film, personal medicine, sweatshirt or sweater.

Transfer:
Daily departures: 06:00 h or 14:00 h. (total transfer time is around 4 hours). Manaus (AIRPORT OR HOTEL) - Ceasa port: 1/2-hour trip by van or microbus. Ceasa port to Careiro town by boat, around 45 min, via the “Meeting of the Waters“ phenomena. Careiro town to Araça by van over dirt road , around 45 min.Araça to the Wild Cabana lodge by speedboat, through channels and creeks ,around 1 1/2 h. Daily return transfers to Manaus (AIRPORT OR HOTEL) with arrival at 12 noon or 17.00 h.
